Head-on crash injures driver in Morrison County

A 29-year-old man was injured in a head-on collision at 6:40 a.m. Thursday on Highway 27 in Pine Creek Township in Morrison County.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported a Volvo semitractor-trailer was west on Highway 27, when a Chevrolet S-10 crossed the centerline, entering the westbound lane. The semi driver swerved to the right, but the truck struck it head-on at the shoulder.

The driver of the S-10, Dustin K. Wagner of Osakis, was transported to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls with non-life-threatening injuries. Wagner was not wearing his seat belt, the state patrol reported.

Jamey L. Gilson, 54, Cushing, the driver of the semitrailer, was not injured.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office assisted the state patrol at the scene.
