On Sunday, August 6, 2017, the Savior who does all things well, called his beloved daughter, Alma Marie Anderson, to the place he had prepared for her.

Alma was born on February 14, 1922 in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota to Henry and Martha Alice (Widmark) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota. Alma graduated from Pequot Lakes High School, Minnesota.

Alma married Alden Eugene Anderson on February 2, 1946 in Cambridge, Minnesota. Following their marriage they lived primarily in Cambridge and Dodge Center while they raised their three daughters.

Alma was a devoted wife and mother, widowed by Alden's death on August 13, 1969. Alma worked different jobs over her life, including being a cook in the Cambridge School system, an nursing assistant at Fairview Nursing Home in Dodge Center, a project teacher at the State Hospital and a sales clerk at Lewis's Department Store in Cambridge. Alma's greatest job was in 1975 when she moved back to Dodge Center, Minnesota to help care for her family. Alma helped her daughters with their children and then her great-grandchildren until her health started to decline.

Alma will be missed by daughters Mary (Merrill) Trapp, Gail (Dan) Jensen, Jean (Lloyd, Jr.) Henslin of Dodge Center; five grandchildren Christina (Greg) Smith Nelson, Amy (Carter) Keller, Ann (Tim) Nicometo, Katie Betcher Connor (Dan Finne), Lloyd Henslin, III; twelve great-grandchildren Andrew (Caitlin) Fjerstad, Amelia Fjerstad, Taylor Nicometo, Chelsea Nicometo Jonathan Keller, Gretchen Keller, Anton Nelson, Daniel Nicometo, Michael Nicometo, Audra Connor, Averee Henslin, Jack Henslin; great-great granddaughter Natalie Fjerstad; brothers Adolph Anderson, David (Renee) Anderson; sisters Ruth Griffin, Arlene (Kenneth) Walesch; brother-in-law Leonard Hein; sister-in-law Barbara Anderson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Alma was preceded in death by her husband Alden, parents Henry and Martha Alice Anderson, son-in-law Ellwyn Smith; brother Arthur Anderson, sisters Clara Aaker, Selma "Sally" Hein and Edna Ehlenfeldt; brother-in-laws Ervin Aaker, Faye Ehlenfeldt, Chuck Griffin; and Alden's parents Milton and Alice Anderson and siblings Donald and Gladys Anderson, John and Ione Anderson, Betty and Walter Fredrickson, James Anderson.

Services include a visitation on Friday, August 11, 2017, 4-7 PM at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Dodge Center, Minnesota, a funeral service on Saturday, August 12, 2017, 11 AM with an hour visitation prior at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kasson, Minnesota. At a later date there will be a memorial service at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota with inurnment at Cambridge Lutheran Cemetery in Cambridge, Minnesota.

The family would like to thank Fairview Care Center for their loving and compassionate care of our mom. Many thanks also to all others that provided love, care and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be given to St. John's Lutheran Church, Kasson, Minnesota or charity of donor's choice.
